In Belgrade, Serbia, the Ukrainian national team won the international EURO 9s tournament, defeating Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegonvina and, for the first time, Serbia in any competitive match.

 The competition took place at the stadium FC Radnicki. The Ukrainians reached the finals without dropping any points and impressed with their athleticism and skill.

 In the decisive game Ukraine beat Serbia 24-0. The Serbs came second.

 In the struggle for bronze medal Bosnia and Herzegovina defeated Bulgaria 10-4 and took third place.
