SALTIRE SCHOOLS CUP
Aberdeen Grammar School were the big winners in the Scotland Rugby League’s schools championship, the Saltire Schools Cup, played on 20 April in Scotstoun Stadium, Glasgow. A total of 14 schools entered the pilot competition, with two age categories.

ABERDEEN GRAMMAR SCHOOL 24 - 20 WESTHILL ACADEMY
Westhill Academy and Aberdeen Grammar played out an exciting final in which the former refused to lie down. Aberdeen scored first and managed to keep their noses in front, snuffing out Westhill’s final, desperate attack on the hooter.

ABERDEEN GRAMMAR SCHOOL 54 - 16 WHITEHILL SECONDARY SCHOOL
Aberdeen were far too strong for Whitehill, taking a 34-4 halftime lead with centre Lawrence Sahebi stealing the show.
