ERL Statement Regarding Scotland Withdrawal From European U19s Championships

Following the withdrawal from the European U19s Championships, Scotland Rugby League have accepted sanctions imposed by the European Rugby League Board for failing to fulfil their fixtures.

Scotland will cover the additional costs incurred by change in format and will be deemed to have finished the tournament in last position and as such should more than eight teams wish to compete in the 2024 tournament, Scotland will go through the qualification route in a format to be determined by ERL in due course.

 No further comment will be made on the matter.
