Slovak Rugby League recently hosted Czechia side Orli Havlickuv Brod in Bratislava.
The game marked the first game in a while for the hosts, with positive development shown, with the game an entertaining one for the assembled crowd.
The visitors dominated the first 20 minutes, however the Slovaks found their way back into the game and by half time the game was fairly evenly balanced, with the Slovaks showing better fitness towards the end of the match which ended 48-24 in their favour.
“We were delighted to play this year and to continue the development of Rugby League in central Europe” noted Charles Cimetièreon behalf of Slovakia Rugby League. “We expect to play more matches and are looking to engage with the Hungarians and Austrians to assist in their development. Rugby League was very much the winner and I’d like to thank everyone involved in the organisation of the event.”
