EDINBURGH EAGLES 26 – 10 AYRSHIRE STORM
Edinburgh Eagles (pictured) claimed their 8th Scottish Conference title after defeating Ayrshire Storm in a dominant display. Leading 14-0 at the break the Eagles allowed Ayrshire back into the contest territorially but the Storm couldn’t turn possession into points. A knock on allowed Callum Anderson to score, extending Edinburgh’s lead to 18-0, and then a missed touch finder handed the Eagles the initiative once more with a fine try from international Paddy Coupar’s kick and a 22-0 lead. Cameron Jackson accounted for the Eagles’ 26-0 unanswered lead before the Storm scored twice for scant consolation.
