The Bonus Arena in Hull is hosting the first ever Wheelchair Rugby League 4 Nations tournament this weekend (July 7-8). Entry is free for the round-robin competition which involves England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales and there is even an opportunity to try the sport on Saturday between 12 and 1.
Hull City Council, Humber Sports Partnership and active Hull are supporting the RFL organised event with matches and joint training sessions taking place between 11 and 5 on Saturday and between 10 and 1.30 on Sunday.
The tournament is being held in preparation for the 2013 Wheelchair Rugby League World Cup and aims to attract new players that are eligible to represent their country in this exciting sport. Wheelchair Rugby League is fairly unique in that it offers both disabled and non-disabled players of both sexes the opportunity to compete both with and against each other on a level playing field.
