Half way through the Greek rugby league domestic season, AEK Kokkinias have been declared ‘winter champions’ after going through the opening five rounds undefeated, including a home victory over defending champions Rhodes Knights.

AEKK coach Matthew Ashill said: “I pay tribute to all the players and staff of the club and have asked them to maintain the same spirit and passion for the rest of the season.”

The Knights are in second spot with Pegasus Neo Kosmos, Aris Petroupolis and Pyrrihios Aspropyrgoy making up the rest of the table.The top two sides will play each other in the Grand Final in May.
