GERMANY YOUTH RUGBY LEAGUE FESTIVAL GAME 2

Neither a gruelling bus trip from Moscow, which saw the Russian squad arrive in Hochspeyer at 7am on the morning of the game, nor a well-prepared Serbian Under-16 team could prevent Russia from registering an emphatic 32-0 win in game two of the Germany Youth Rugby League Festival.

Russian scrum-half Artem Kashirskiy from Muscovite club Nara was the outstanding performer on the field, laying on tries for Nevskaya Zastava duo Yuri Sachkov and Vladislav Belov and scoring half of his side’s points.

The victory sets up a Sunday final between Scotland and Russia, while Serbia will play the hosts in the contest for third.
