Match report

FRANCE U19 v AIS
The Australian Institute of Sport opened their European tour with a handy win over France’s U19 national team. Despite Pia prop Leo Baixas negating AIS’s 2nd minute score with a barnstorming run that left three Australian defenders in his wake, France were comfortably beaten in St Gaudens.

AIS scored another three tries to jump out to a commanding 22-6 halftime lead. The Bleuets were unable to match AIS’s speed and fluency in midfield but had some consolation when substitute Roman Péault scored the most spectacular try of the game, two minutes from time.
