U16 EUROPEAN CUP: POOL A - ROUND 2
England’s youngsters showed a ruthless streak on their entry into the European Cup, beating hosts Serbia 46-0 in Belgrade.
In an excellent all-round display, outstanding prop James Donaldson led the charge with an early try double as the powerful Englishmen started in blistering fashion. Darren Seeds and Karl Olstrum also posted tries in the first half, Gregg McNally landing four conversions to go with a touchdown of his own.
Although the Serbians showed great spirit in the second half, further four-pointers to hooker Jack Sewell, a hat-trick score for the rampaging Donaldson and one to Sean Fitzsimmons, coupled with three more McNally goals, completed an emphatic win.
