UKRAINE RUGBY LEAGUE FEDERATION ANNOUNCE EIGHT-TEAM LEAGUE

The Ukrainian Rugby League Federation has announced details of their 2015 domestic season which will see eight clubs play in two geographically-divided pools.

In Group A, Sokil from Lviv, Uzhgorod’s Korzo, Rivne, and Roland-based Ivano-Frankivsk will meet home and away, while in Group B, Kharkov’s Legion XIII – the country’s most successful club side,  Kryvbas from Krivoy Rog, Dnipropetrovsk’s Atlant and CEPU from the Crimean city of Simferopol will similarly face each other.

The planned start date is in March, the top two sides in each group making the semi finals, with a Grand Final to then decide the champions.

Ahead of the new season, 11 new match officials from six cities - Ternopil, Lviv, Rivne, Uzhgorod, Khmelnytsky and Kharkiv – have been qualified from a course held at School â„–19, Ternopil, conducted by Olexander Ivchenko and Artur Martyrosyan (pictured).
