WALES AND JAMAICA SET FOR FRIDAY NIGHT TEST

20 Oct 2016

A number of players could make their debuts for Wales when they face Jamaica at Wakefield's Belle Vue Stadium tomorrow night (7.30pm kick-off). Dai Evans, Ian Newbury and Ben Morris - who are all currently uncapped - have been named in John Kear's 19-man squad.

Morris, a 19-year-old second-rower playing in St Helens' acadmey, has been called up to the squad for the Jamaica clash. Meanwhile, the majority of those who featured in the 50-0 win over Serbia have been included in the 19.

On the squad, Wales boss John Kear said: "When the 17 run out, people will see that there are some changes from the Serbia game. This is obviously planned in order to look at different combinations and different personnel, giving them the chance to force themselves into the 17 for the vital game against Italy next week. We also realise that we will face a very difficult challenge from a Jamaican team who are looking to establish themselves in the international game."
