UKRAINE RL CONTINUES COACH AND MATCH OFFICIAL EDUCATION

Ukraine Federation of Rugby League (UFRL), have continued to their drive to develop coaches and match officials for the domestic competitions as they have held simultaneous courses in Kiev and Kharkhov.

Twenty coaches from nine different cities attended the course which was led by RLEF Tutor, Artur Martyrosyan, who was very encouraged by the development of the coaches, commenting: “We were really well looked after by Olena Vasylivna Mendel at School Number 196 and we thank them for that. The coaches continue to improve and we delivered a much more advanced course this year to suit the growing level of experience of the local coaches.”

The Match Officials course was attended by eight referees from four different cities and was well supported by local insurance company, Knyazha. The course, which covered practical and technical aspects, was led by RLEF Tutor Oleksandr Ivchencko.

He was really satisfied with the outcomes saying: "Everything was a breeze! Colleagues with keen interest to ask questions, discuss each proposed game situation and even made suggestions to improve the rules of the game. It was not just informative, but fun and interesting, for which special thanks to all the referees for their active participation”
