SERBIA CAPTAIN SUSPENDED

11 Jun 2013

Serbia captain Dalibor Vukanovic has been suspended for six games by the RLEF Disciplinary Committee following his red card on 25 May. The player was sent off in the 78th minute of Serbia’s European Shield match against Russia for making obscene gestures at the referee.

Two of the matches are suspended, meaning Vukanovic will miss the next four games in the Serbian season. If he receives a further sanction he will serve the two additional matches as per the RLEF ruling. Vukanovic did not appeal the decision.
