Teplice Dragons Rugby League Club is engaged in a fundraiser for a great friend of the sport who has recently experienced a family tragedy.

The national team player was in a car accident with his family at the end of last year that ended in their hospitalisation and has resulted in his only daughter being in a coma ever since.

A statement from the club said,  “We are just looking to see how the rugby league family can assist him. Every little bit will be of massive assistance to him and his family.”

The Dragons are raffling a Czech RL national team jersey as first prize and there will be a range of other international league-related items donated by Ty Vole Urban, Ron Pearce and Australia's Men of League, as consolation prizes.

The cost of a ticket is 5 euro, with all proceeds going to the individual and his family.
