The LRLF has announced its four teams that will face their Fiji Australian counterparts on Saturday 19th October 2013, in the Hayne Mannah Cup at Club Alitalia Lansvale. The clash will mark the start of a four year journey for the Lebanese, who for the first time in LRLF history will field an U18s in Sydney, which has bridge the pathway for players from U16s to open age.
LRLF COO Remond Safi, currently in Sydney, noted, “The link between Lebanese Rugby League Federation and its Australian partners just gets bigger and stronger here in Australia. The best part is now we have completed the pathway for players from our junior ranks to the senior side. We can now start to build our team and preparing for the 2017 Rugby League World Cup.”
The four tier games will be U16s, U18s, U20s, and the Cedars will be out to grab the Hayne / Mannah Cup, named after playing greats of the two nations Jarrod Hayne & Tim Mannah.
