After a series of high quality and challenging training sessions, the Scotland Students Rugby League squad continue their preparations for the World Cup in Sydney with a friendly against Halifax Reserves this Saturday 22nd April. The game is being played at Lasswade Rugby Club, just south of Edinburgh - kick off 2pm. This is the first of 3 warm up matches for the Scotland squad with games also scheduled against Keighley Reserves on Saturday 6th May and the Scotland Club XIII team on Saturday 17th June. The squad depart for Australia on Friday 30th June.

 Head Coach, Nathan Graham said, "We started our selection process for the Student World Cup back in October. We had an excellent turn out at our trial sessions and had a number of very competitive sessions. Those selected for the squad have been putting a lot of hard work into practice since then and are now ready to see how things go in a competitive match. We are very grateful to Halifax for taking the time to come up to Scotland to play the match."

 Team Manager, Paul Beckett said, "The opportunity to take part in the Student World Cup in Sydney is a tremendous one for all our players and staff. Everyone is very excited about getting out on the field and playing some tough competitive rugby league. The game against Halifax Reserves is a vital part of our preparation for the tournament in July"
