FRANCE U15 v WALES U16

This match was played as a curtain raiser to the Under-16 Test match between France and England in Carpentras.

After going 6-0 down, Tom Farrer Evans (Cyfarthfa High) scored a great try after a sweeping Wales set. Then went 10-4 down before a great build up work from man of match Dom Franchi (Brynmawr) set up Tom Farrer Evans for his second. Ryan Pugh (St Josephs, PT) nailed a touchline conversion on his debut. Again Rhys Pugsley (Caerleon Comp) played well as did Geraint Edwards (Cwm Rhymni). France scored with ten minutes to go, but Wales couldn't quite get over the line to level.
