SPANISH COACHES AND TUTORS QUALIFIED IN VALENCIA

Nine candidates from five clubs have taken part in a level one coaching course in Guadassuar, Valencia. Alcoià Comtat, Irreductibles Mislata, Tigers Torrent and Valencian Warriors from the AERL were represented and for the first time a Catalonian club, Gossos Castellar del Vallés were present.

The course was supervised by RLEF Coaching Manager, Martin Crick. In addition, Rodrigo Molina (College of coaches, Madrid) and Aitor Dàvila (College of coaches, Valencia) became the first two Spanish coach tutors as they graduated from the final stage of the RLEF-European Union Leadership Devolution Project, in large part funded by the European Commission which has committed €195.000.

Rodrigo Molina said, “It has been really worthwhile for all the participants. It was excellent to see the enthusiasm of all the candidates, some of whom made the long journey to Valencia from other provinces.”

Aitor Dàvila added, “These courses are very valuable because they allow coaches to organise their sessions more effectively and have a much clearer idea of the most important factors of the game, both in attack and defence, and helping them develop their philosophy of play.”
