Gossos Barcelona has become the first club Catalonian club to link with the Spanish Federation (AERL) meaning Cataluña becomes the fourth region represented joining Valencia, Madrid and Andalucia.

After months of preparatory work Gossos Barcelona Rugby League, who will play out of Castellar del Vallés (Barcelona), are now preparing for their first match.

Two of their executives, president Arturo Cuesta and Marcelo Esteban, participated in refereeing and coaching courses staged by the AERL and RLEF in Valencia earlier this month.

“Gossos Barcelona is going to join ‘AERL League East’ alongside Irreductibles, Edetans and Tigres B,” said  Cuesta, “But our medium term goal is to organise a regional development competition in Catalonia with three teams.”
