10 Mar 2015

Seven rugby league clubs will participate in the 2015 Campeonato Nacional de Liga. Alcoià Comtat of Alicante, Custodians Madrid and five sides from Valencia - Valencian Warriors, Irreductibles Mislata, Tigers Torrent, Almogàvers XIII and Ciencas XIII – will contest the expanded competition.

The championship, which begins on 28 March, will have seven regular season rounds - a total of 21 games - and two playoff dates, with a Grand Final on 12 July.

Salome Sansano, President of the AERL, said, “We are very proud to announce this year’s national championship. It is also great news that we have an elite team in Madrid to play alongside our foundation clubs; regions such as Madrid, Andalucia and Catalonia are much needed in the construction of our national project.”
