Captain of the newly crowned champions Red Star, Vojislav Dedić, has been named the Serbian RL player of the year. Dedić led the red and whites to their second national title whilst, according to the governing body, 'demonstrating exceptional leadership and gentlemanly beahavior both on and off the field.'
Vladimir Milutinović, runner-up in the senior award, took the young player of the year accolade. He guided Partizan to a doubleof the Serbian Cup and inaugural Balkan Super League title, while also winning the domestic junior cup and championship.
Milutinović's succes came under the tutelage of Admir Hadzić who took home the coach of the year trophy. “It’s such a big honour for me, but it’s mostly acknowledgement of the great work that we all put in together in this historic year for our club,“ said Hadzić.
Veljko Stanković from Paraćin who played for Serbia U16s, U18s and in senior side, picked up the best prospect in Serbia award and Radoslav Novaković was again voted the best referee. A special prize went to Blagoje Stoiljković for his volunteer work, both as a SRL and RLEF Board member, with thanks given to major sponsor Air Serbia.
