Apparel manufacturers Beastwear has signed up to become a commercial partner of the MEA Championship, set to be held from 2-5 October at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos, Nigeria.
“Initially we were approached to design a jersey for the Nigeria Rugby League Association, but the relationship has developed to the point where we were so impressed with the management and arrangements of the tournament that we have agreed to become a partner of it,” said Beastwear’s international sales manager, Aden Nawaz. “All tournament officials and volunteers will be supplied with uniforms by us and the other competing nations – Ghana, Cameroon and Morocco – will also be wearing our designs. Replicas will be available to buy of the unique kits; it’s a proud moment for our business.”
Ade Adebisi, general manager of Nigeria Rugby League commented: “The generosity of Beastwear has been matched by the quality of the kit we have received. We can't guarantee to win every game but we will certainly look the part. The new Nigeria shirt (pictured) must already make us one of the best-dressed teams in rugby league!”
