European Rugby League is seeking founder members for a possible Portuguese Rugby League Federation.

Following conversations with those who are willing to support the establishment of the sport in the country based in the UK and Australia, the group are now looking to make contact with any interested parties in Portugal with whom they can work alongside.

“We would be very pleased to hear from any individuals on the ground who may have an interest in starting rugby league in Portugal,” said ERL general manager, David Butler. “The ERL is here to support and guide new members in establishing an organisation to achieve foundation level Observer member status in the first instance.”
