GILVARY ON MALTA VISIT

27 Jun 2011

The Rugby Football League (RFL)’s Andy Gilvary has arrived in Malta where he will complete a review on the RLEF observer member nation.
Hailing from Warrington, Gilvary played all his junior rugby out of Widnes and is well travelled.
Listing America, the Czech Republic, Spain and Germany as previous settings for his rugby activity, the 29-year-old has also played for UTS Jets in Australia and is enthusiastically looking forward to Malta.
Gilvary (pictured on right of image above with Powell) has also worked alongside current Harlequins coach Rob Powell during his time for the RFL in London and the South.
The Development Officer will oversee rugby league developments with the country’s wheelchair, domestic and national team setup, as well as being in Malta for the second round of the domestic championship.
“I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve heard good things about Malta and can’t wait to get out there” said Gilvary.
