Following the European Bowl match against the Czechs, Hungary had chance to host a second rugby league game in quick succession. On Sunday Hungary hosted a Belgrade selectionin Kecskemet but were unable to build on the spirited debut of a week ago. The Belgrade team, under the direction of former Serbia front row Radoslav Novakovic, scored 22 points in each half while keeping the Magyar Bulls scoreless.
Jovan Vujosevic, RLEF Central Europe regional director: “I would like to thank Adam Nunn, who organized this two great games in the Hungarian city of Kecskemet. I would also like to thank local rugby club who helped Adam to host this two games and to give the opportunity to the Hungarian boys to play rugby league. This is just a start. I hope that we won’t stop on this and that Hungary will soon form an association and that they will join the European rugby league family that grows from year to year.
