Ireland International Matthew Fox has signed for Championship side Hunslet Hawks.
Fox, who made his international debut against France last October, also attracted interest from Featherstone Rovers but has put pen to paper on a one year deal.
Hunslet Director of Rugby Darren Williams said "It's common knowledge we have been looking for some centre cover since Wayne McHugh left the club so were thrilled to have acquired Matthew's services, he first came under our radar whilst playing under Tony Drury for Wakefield Senior Academy and impressed in a loan spell at Dewsbury towards the end of last season before signing a permanent deal with them after some strong displays for his country."
The move has been funded by the Hunslet Squad Builder (HISSA) and Fox is expected to make his debut against Keighley in a pre-season friendly next weekend.
Fox said "I would like to thank Hunslet for the opportunity to continue my playing career, living in Middleton it's great to have the chance to place for my local team and it will be good to put the shirt on, my aim now is to cement my place in the side"
