DORCOL WIN SERBIAN CUP FOR 10TH TIME

The Serbian Cup and Serbian Shield Finals were played on 7th June 2014 at SC Makis stadium in Belgrade in front of more than 400 people.

In the first game, Radnicki from Nova Pazova beat White Rabbits from Banja Luka with result 40:30 (half time 18:12 for Radnicki).

In the second game, Dorcol beat Red Star 40:26 (half time 14:12 for Red Star). Red Star won the first half and Dorcol players were on the big pressure, especially because Dorcol’s captain, Dalibor Vukanovic didn’t play this game.

Red Star’s Dedic brothers were dominant and they controlled the game.

In the second half, the youthful Dorcol team lead by Stefan Nedeljkovic and Stevan Stevanovic showed quality and strength and Red Star collapsed in the second half of the match.

The Serbian Rugby League domestic season started on 16th Feb 2014. In the period from 16th Feb until 8th June 2014, Serbia had 54 full 13 sides domestic matches, from that number, 44 senior matches and 10 U18 matches. The first part of season in Serbia will finish on 5th July.

Serbian Rugby League President Predrag Pantic: “Serbia this year had a big domestic program. The aim is to play 100 or more full 13-side domestic games. In the first part of season, we are near to 60 or more. All these good quality games will give us a stronger national teams and better results on the international scene.”
