This Saturday, 19th July, will see the inaugural ‘NRLB Nationale Kampioenschap’ kick off in the Netherlands, with the first of a two-game series played between the big city rivals as the Amsterdam City Cobras face Rotterdam City Pitbulls.
Cobras Head Coach, Daan van Rossum commented: “All the boys are very excited to take part in this event. This will be the first time ever we have played together as the Amsterdam City Cobras, training has been very positive and now we are ready to go into battle. I am proud to coach this team and can't wait for the series to start.”
Jason Bruygoms, NRLB Development officer added: “This is going to be a great occasion, both teams have been training hard for the series. Rugby league in the Netherlands is really on the up at the moment; we've just appointed a new national coach, participation numbers are growing, interest is increasing and now everyone is excited to showcase our sport over two weekends.”
Game one will be played in Amsterdam and the return clash in Delft on the 2nd August.
