Four tries from Anthony Squires saw the GB & Ireland Students complete their three-match South African tour unbeaten, defeating the South African Students 56-8 in a Test match at the Groenkloof Stadium in Pretoria.

The hosts last came together at the Student World Cup in summer 2013, the core of that squad having graduated to the senior ranks, and the more experienced Academic Lions – buoyed by emphatic wins over Western Cape and league champions Tuks - raced to a 32-0 half time lead in the hot conditions.

The Student Rhinos rallied, their best performer winger Rupert Wells crossing for a brace of tries, but the GB & Ireland boys had the final say with two late touchdowns that again took them over the half century mark.
