GC Foster College out gunned Mico University College 50-38 to be crowned Intercol Rugby League Champions for the 2011-2012 season. The Fostodians were superbly led by centres Adrian Mckenzie and Ryan Grant who both powered their way to a hat-trick of tries.
They were well supported by bustling prop Othniel Holness and speedy winger Adrian Mckenzie who both claimed a double while Chavaugn Bailey and Kemar Sterling scored one touchdown each, Grant kicking six conversions. Mico’s points came through their explosive centre Astil Johnson who also bagged a hat-trick; Romaine Campbell, Oshane Eddie, Obrien Henry and Andre Hill, each scoring once. Full-back Kennard Woolery landed five goals.
University of Technology secured third place after a nail biting 24-22 victory over outgoing champions University of West Indies. Nathan Campbell led UTech with a try treble, Damian Green and Marvin Thompson with a try each, Thompson also kicked four conversions. UWI tries came from Ajani Duncan, Sydonite Jeannite and Kemoy Whyte who also landed four goals.
